Guitar can make a huge difference in a just a few seconds. You've had a rough day. Your boss was upset with you. You got caught in traffic and was late for an appointment. You got demoted and the co-worker you dislike the most got your job. There are a billion things that happen to us every day that make us want to scream at the world, and often times, we can't find an outlet for our emotions. We have words lined up in our heads we've been wanting to say all day, but we can't. They are trapped, waiting for that perfect set of notes to come along and combine music with thought.
And then it happens. You get home and throw yourself down on the couch. Looking across the room wondering if you really feel like going out that night, you see in the corner, the black case, it's your way to express yourself... it's your guitar. For me, picking up a guitar and singing as loud as I can to any random chords is exactly what I need sometimes to let the stress out from the day. It might not sound the best. Just ask my neighbors. But playing even the most basic of chords is sometimes all it takes to start letting the day unfold into a song, and before long, the words start flowing.
The stressfulness of the day is slowly slipping away, your head clears, and your fingers start moving quicker up the fret board as the few chords you were plucking have now turned into a song with a verse and chorus. And you realize, this is exactly what you was looking for, and just didn't know. But, unless you have the right equipment to begin with, you could be that person left on the couch, still trying to find that outlet to somehow let your thoughts out. Don't be that person. Pick up your guitar and play. If you don't have one, please take a look at the selection on my site and purchase one. The price of a guitar and a few accessories is so minimal. Find a guitar that fits your style and price. Moments will slip away if you let them, and you'll want that musical instrument around you, when you need it most.
